Hey everyone,

I am quite happy! Yesterday Ajax defeated AZ with 1-0 and Andy Roddick defeated Fernando Gonzales. That's great news for me considering the fact that Ajax is my favorite soccer team and Andy Roddick my favorite tennis player! And this contest made me happy too!

Anyways, it's a bit later than planned but I finally have the results ready. It was a tough job, it really was. I have commented over 700 deviations. Not as much as my previous contest, but it's great to have so many entries! I made a lot of selections. I must say the overall quality of the deviations improved this year. So it was very hard for me to pick the winners.

For the people who don't know about this contest. I made a thread in the thumbshare forum. Where people were able to show me two of their deviations! And so I recieved a lot of replies with excellent work!

For those who are in the top 15, be very proud of yourself. More than 700 deviations that's a lot! For those who didn't make the top 15, remember this is just my personal taste. All of your works are great, keep it up!

:iconrosary0fsighs: With: 1000 Paper CranesI.
We whispered prayers into the corridors
while I spoke into your ribcage,
telling lies to our skeletons
to help you understand.
you said they loved
watching me wax poetic
while I dripped candlelight into your hands.
we watched the dust motes
cover our skin
while I taught you how to fly.
(you were always too afraid to fall
and too afraid to land).
II.
It wasn't lovesongs we sang;
it was half-forgotten hymns.
we never wanted to believe
but you said ghosts exist
without compassion,
and without sins.
I told the doctor
his medication clipped your wings.
III.
I fed you sweet words
tucked in between
candy-canes
and licorice
While I cried in secret every mo(u)rning
pressing tears beneath
the fragile scales
of angelfish
The doctors said
we needed to prepare.
I told them I was kissing
dandelion flowers;
hoping for a wish.
IV.
we counted every soft bruised bone
with lover's temperaments
as your temperature rose and fell.
The doctors crushed them in their hands
when they spoke of vital signs
and
1000 Paper Cranes: I say a must read! The emotion of this poem is dripping from your screen, really. This is brought to words in such a beautiful and detailed way.
